I believe most of you cinema aficionados would have heard of this Canadian thriller known as Cube, maybe you might have even seen its two sequels. The man behind the original Cube returns with yet another Sci-Fi mindbender called ‘Splice’.
The plot revolves around couple which runs a genetics lab & their experiments involving the splicing of Human DNA in animal genes. The result of their experiment turns out to be this creature called Dren which grows over a period right in front of their eyes but maybe everything isn’t as kosher as it seems.
The trailer is actually just a small clip from the movie & though it doesn’t give away much it’s tone strongly suggests an edgy horror/thriller, plus the creature design looks unlike anything I’ve seen before onscreen. Even the poster is an ode to the ‘Alien’ series. The movie stars Sarah Polley (Dawn of the Dead) & Adrian Brody.
