Guy Pearce stars in this Australian crime-drama.

‘Animal Kingdom’ is an Australian crime-drama starring Guy Pearce, Luke Ford (The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor), Ben Mendelsohn (Vertical Limit, Knowing) & Joel Edgerton (King Arthur, Star Wars: Episode III). It tells the story of the efforts of a police detective to help out a young boy caught in the middle of a violent crime family.

Since the trailer is only a teaser trailer I can tell very little about it but anything that Guy Pearce does is an automatic watch for me so would be looking forward to this one. The movie was also shown at the Sundance film festival 2010 & received good reviews. The movie is directed by David Michod.

*Update* The new trailer gives the basics of the plot pretty well & looks like one hell of a gritty crime-drama.
