Twilight

Finally after waiting for almost a year, Twilight releases in India. The movie every teenager was dying to watch.

From the deeply seductive and extra ordinarily suspenseful novel `Twilight’ by Stephenie Meyer, comes a motion picture of an impressively surprising love story. The novel was rather different from most other love stories but the movie isn’t as appreciable. The movie has skipped out many details from the novel which could have made it better.

The story is about an average teenage girl, Isabella Swan (Kristen Stewart), a.k.a. Bella, falling in love with a boy, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattison) who has a dark secret that is only known to his family.

Bella Swan, an average teenage girl from Phoenix, decides to move with her dad Charlie Swan (Billy Burke) to a small town named Forks in the state of Washington where he is the chief of police,as her mom Renee (Sarah Clarke) and step dad Phil (Matt Bushell) hit the roads. There she re-unites with an old friend, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

Bella starts her junior year in the middle of the semester at Fork High School. She finds Forks High even more welcoming than what she thought it would be. Everything goes well until she meets Edward Cullen. Edward is one of five foster kids including  Alice (Ashley Greene), Emmett (Kellan Lutz) Cullen, Rosalie (Nikki Reed) and Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) adopted by Dr Carlisle Cullen (Peter Facinelli) and his wife Esme (Elizabeth Reaser). Edward tries to stay away from Bella as he thinks it’s best for her, but still nothing keeps them from liking each other.

Bella notices that there is something different about the Cullens and is insistent on finding out more about them. She does some research and finds out Edwards secret. Edward and his family are vampires. That does not stop them from falling in love. But Edward and Bella, both are aware of the danger that might come upon them.

Despite knowing that Edward was a vampire and there was a dominant part of him that was thirsted for her blood, Bella was still unconditionally in love with him.The movie deals with the complications Bella has to face as a human among vampires which might cost her, her life.

After watching the movie, as any other teenage girl I would say that the characters portrayed by Robert and Kristen suit them very well. But while reading the book I neither imagined Robert as Edward nor Kristen as Bella. But still the movie was a good chick flick.

The actors, especially Kristen and Robert, have deeply gone in their character and done a very good job. The cinematography was very well done and was enhanced with an amazing soundtrack.

Overall, the Twilight is amazing with the awesome story. If you’re a teenager, the movie is worth watching. But if you’re an adult you will find it too cheesy.

Twilight is a love story with a bite.
