The Twilight Saga: New Moon
After an incident with a stray vampire James, which almost took Bella’s life, she is insistent on staying in Forks with the Cullen’s. While she is celebrating her 18th birthday at the Cullen household, a mere paper cut tempts Jasper (Jackson Rathbone), Edwards’s adoptive brother, to attack her for her blood by its scent. Edward realizes that he and his family are a threat to Bella and thus decide to leave Forks permanently.
This leaves Bella heartbroken for a long time, until she gets close to Jacob her family friend. But Jacob too has a skeleton in his closet and Bella spots it out. Jacob happens to a werewolf.
This is not the end of her problems. Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) returns in attempt to take revenge for her mate, James, loss. But the werewolves manage to drive her away.
When things couldn’t get any weirder, Alice (Ashley Greene) comes back as she has a vision about Bella’s death by drowning. But it turns out that Bella was just cliff diving. This turns into a huge misunderstanding which leads to Edward demanding the Volturi, the ancient Italian coven who keep the existence of vampires a secret, to take his life as he thinks that Bella is dead. Aro (Michael Sheen), the head of the Volturi, refuses Edwards demand as he thinks that Edward could be of good use to the Volturi. Thus Edward decides to reveal himself to the world and breaking the volturi laws which will condemn them to kill him.
Following the success of Twilight comes the sequel 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon', directed by Chris Weitz, starring Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Robert Pattison (Edward Cullen) and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black). Many viewers thought that New moon was a disappointment, especially those who have read the book, as the movie just ran through the book. The book emphasizes on Bella’s suffering but in the movie its just another scene. The book has also described Bella’s complicated relationship with Jacob, while the movie does not. Having read the book I would call the movie a total failure, but being a Taylor Lautner fan I would recommend it to every teenager. Nevertheless, it was backed by an amazing soundtrack which made the movie worth watching. The cinematography and the sound works were pretty satisfactory. So if you are a Robert Pattison or a Taylor Lautner fan, the movie is worth a watch.
