‘Legend of the Guardians’ is an animated adaptation of the popular children’s book, ‘Guardians of Ga’Hoole’ by author Kathryn Lasky. The movie is based on the first of the series titled, ‘The Capture, The Journey & The Rescue’. The entire series comprises of fifteen books totally, so if this movie does well then boy ‘o’ boy do the folks at Warner Bros. have a huge franchise or what!!!

Most importantly however it is directed by Zack Synder, the “visionary” director of ‘Dawn of the Dead’ (remake), ‘300’ & ‘Watchmen’, so expect the length of the movie to be increased by at least 25% solely due to the numerous slow-mo shots..

The plot revolves around a young owl named Soren & his adventures. The voice-cast includes Sam Neill, Hugo Weaving, Helen Mirren, Geoffrey Rush, Abbie Cornish, David Wenham, Jim Sturgess & Richard Roxburgh.   

The movie will release in the U.S. on the 24th of September 2010.
