I find it hard to believe that Ashwani Dheer is the director of this incomprehensible mess of a movie for he is the same man responsible for the television serial “Office Office”, which early on in its run was an excellent satire on the workings of most government offices. I fail to understand why he ripped off the plot of a very mediocre Dudley Moore movie, Blame it on the Bellboy (1992) & made it so much worse that in comparison the original seems like the Godfather.
The plot or what they made up as they shot the movie basically revolves around three people with the same name Laxminarayan but with vastly different personalities & occupations landing up at a hotel in Goa & getting caught up in comic/bad situations due to the fact that their names are common. One is a underworld goon looking to notch up his first kill (Tusshar Kapoor), the other is a roadside lingerie salesman who is looking to buy a new vehicle to sell his stock in (Paresh Rawal) & the third is a timid, indecisive office guy sent by his boss to buy a vintage car (Sunil Shetty). There are couple of dumb bimbos ready to drop their clothes at a moments notice (Sameera Reddy & Tanisha Mukherjee & Esha Deol) & gangsters (Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra & Vrijesh Hirjee) so incompetent that it’s a surprise the cops haven’t caught them yet until you realize how incompetent the cops (Neetu Chandra) are themselves.
The acting is uniformly bad from all & the only thing everybody tries to do is overact, which when coupled with the right humor isn’t always a bad thing but here it is a plain torturous assault on your senses & sensibilities. Sunil Shetty & Esha Deol are the most irritating of the lot & the only ones which may probably bring about a little smile to your face are the trio of Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra & Vrijesh Hirjee & that too barely. I have to wonder though that what the hell, Paresh Rawal was thinking by doing this movie. By the climax you will barely care about anything, if you are alive that is. Don’t bother asking about the songs or anything else either since nothing is worth talking about.
Don’t look for anything in this movie, no plot, no humor, absolutely nothing. The only thing that you shall remember is the fact that you paid money to actually watch this in a theatre & how your behind has turned colder than a penguin’s bottom from having to endure this sorry excuse for a movie.
Final Verdict: One, Two, Three…..Go! Go!! Go!!! Run away from this as fast as you can.
