With a title like ‘Prince – It’s Showtime’ it sounds more like the movie might be the biography of some stage artist or a performer in Las Vegas or something but alas it’s an action flick. Does anyone remember what happened the last time Vivek Oberoi donned stylish sunglasses & starred in a true-blue action flick, ‘Mission Istaanbul’ anyone?
This time around he’s playing a high profile thief who wakes up one morning having a bullet wound in the shoulder & having no memory of his identity. He’s soon on the run being chased by various law enforcement agencies & shady elements of the underworld too & it’s all linked to the last heist he pulled off. The loot from the heist contains something that could decide the fate of the human race (I kid you not, this is from the P.R. release)
Man, if Vivek Oberoi was the savior of the human race I’d rather be an ape. The plot & the action scenes seem to be ripped off from a dozen different action-thrillers though the movie does seem to have a slick look to it (even if it has a ‘Don’ hangover’). I expect very little from the movie other than to make me laugh unintentionally (the “Khatre se bhi Khatarnaak” line is priceless).
