Looks like animation in Bollywood shows a certain affection for dogs, after the disaster that was ‘Roadside Romeo’, canine critters shall rule the roost in yet another animated feature, ‘Koochie Koochie Hota Hai’.
The movie is an animated remake of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ substituting the various humans in the movie with animals. Nearly all the original cast returns to voice their animated avatars with new members such as Ritesh Deshmukh & Uday Chopra also joining the fray but the biggest addition to the cast is that of Sanjay Dutt to voice the character that should ideally have been done by Salman Khan, hmmmm I wonder why that is?
The animation from the trailer certainly looks better than that of ‘Roadside Romeo’ & maybe the movie may be a fun, frothy watch & hopefully not too long, who knows……
Next up maybe they can do a canine Sholay? Or maybe a canine DDLJ? Or having an animated canine version of Dharmendra yelling “Kutteeee!!!!” ?
The movie is directed by Tarun Mansukhani who previously made the gay-themed comedy, ‘Dostana’. No specific release date has been set for the movie yet, but it’ll release sometime in 2010.
