An interesting trailer for this crime-romance flick.
The man who gave gangster tales set in rural India have a edgy yet magnetic style of their, Vishal Bhradwaj, acts as producer for his long time assistant Abhishek Chaubhey’s directorial debut.
The tale is about two thieves on the run who fall in love with the same woman when they take refuge in a village along the way. I can already see shades of ‘Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid’ somewhere between the lines in the trailer. Though I wonder if the makers want the movie to proudly wear it’s profanity filled dialogues with pride to create a buzz & give it a false sense of edginess.
The movie stars Naseruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi & Vidya Balan. It’s release date is set for the 29th of January 2010.
