This is one definitely for the Copycat section on MovieSum. The P.R. release describes the movies as a “cunning & energetic thriller with elements of dark humor which picks up it’s premise from a real life incident” wow! Man, I feel bad for the director Mahesh Nair because they already made a movie about a similar incident in 2007 called ‘Stuck’. Now you guys tell me what are the odds of two movies which look pretty much alike & both based on “true stories” being made individually without the knowledge of the other? The movie which came first naturally can’t be a copy but the second movie, hmmm, maybe lighting does strike twice, who knows? Or wait did they buy the rights? Don’t see any disclaimers anywhere, or maybe the makers of the original gave “permission” to use their pillage from their movie.

The plot concerns a young female working as a nursing assistant who hits a middle aged man one night & the guy gets stuck in his windshield. She drives home in that very condition & leaves him stuck like that in the car parked in the garage. She & her drug peddling boyfriend try to later cover their tracks & kill the man but the man too has few tricks up his sleeve.

The movie stars Celina Jaitley, Abhimanyu Singh & Farooq Sheikh. It releases on the 18th of December 2009.
