A biography about the last days of Leo Tolstoy's life. Watch the trailer.

The German production, ‘The Last Station’ explores the final year in the life of celebrated Russian author Leo Tolstoy who wrote marvelous works of literature such as ‘War & Peace’ & ‘Anna Karenina’. His troubled relationship with his wife & other friends & family are also explored through the eyes of a new private secretary appointed to him.

The trailer gives the movie a sort of departure from the usual biographical outlook these kind of movies have. There seems to be a strong element of romance & sly humor present through out & with the great team of actors present I can expect something worthwhile.

Looks like after ‘The Last King of Scotland’ James McAvoy enjoys playing assistant to real life characters. The other actors include Christopher Plummer, Helen Mirren &  Paul Giamatti.

The movie releases in Germany on the 21st of January 2010.
