Heath Ledger's final movie! check out the trailer for this fantasy flick directed by Terry Gilliam.

If there’s a visual auteur with the most twisted sense of humor whom I would love to see adapt almost any & every fantasy or dark psychological material ever made it’d undoubtedly be Terry Gilliam. The man is a living legend, his genius & imagination knows no bounds right from the Monty Python series to Time Bandits to Brazil to 12 Monkeys to the delightfully twisted Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus from the trailer looks like Gillima let his imagination run wild again & came up with something which looks like a true visual marvel.

The movie however has been in the news simply because it happens to be the last on-screen performance of Heath Ledger. Since his work on the film was incomplete three actors, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell & Jude Law, filled in for him in different parts of the movie. The movie also stars Christopher Plummer as Doctor Parnassus, Verne Troyer & Peter Stormare.

Will the movie be a fitting sendoff to Heath Ledger? Will it be the triumphant return Gilliam has been looking for? Only time will tell, the movie releases on the 25th of December 2009.
