‘The Blind Side’ is a sports drama which is based on a true story which was chronicled in the book ‘The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game’ by Michael Lewis.
Michael Oher is a homeless 18 year old who’s adopted by the Tuohys a well to do suburban family. The mother played by Sandra Bullock plays a vital role in turning Michael’s life around. Michael soon starts doing well academically at school & is allowed to play football, which would eventually lead him to play in the N.F.L.
The trailer gives it the usual inspiration drama feel though Sandra Bullock seems to be in hyper-drive mode & might very well pick up an Oscar nomination for her role. John Lee Hancock is the director who also made the baseball flick ‘The Rookie’.
The movie was released in the U.S. on the 20th of November.
